The Perfect Fit

Shweta Singhvi

This is my 8th trip with my daughter and I am so glad that we did because we made memories that will last forever and was really happy to have my niece as her companion for whole trip.๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚
.
.

This post is dedicated to all new parents out here who always have a question of doubtful thoughts should we travel with infants or not.I personally believe having a strong support of your husband is really important while travelling since we need some space from our pregnancy journey and a change in environment.

Footwear is an extremely important yet neglected aspect of a babys wardrobe. Here are my tips in buying the right kind of pair for your kids-

1- Shoes should have rubber soles for a good grip to prevent from slipping or sliding.
2-Children participate in more high activities so its important to have good shock absorption with durable soles.
3- Shoes should be light weight and flexible for a stable base
4- Stiff soles and compressive footwear may cause weakness and loss of mobility.
5- Select your babys shoe on barefoot model
6-Leather shoes or mesh shoes are the most comfortable ones
7-Buy the right size not too tight not to big.We have the habit of buying bigger size but that can cause baby to trip
8 Invest in good pair of sports shoes for comfort.

.

Travelling tips with kids-

I always prefer destinations where the temperatures drop within 7-15degree as Mumbai has stopped delievering Winters and I dont want to step in same climate.
.
Jaisalmer dessert of Sand dunes was magical and the weather was icing on the cake. Not only adults even kids accepted the place, the warmness and friendly people of Rajasthan who are always ready to help as they treat us as their guest.
“ATHITHI DEVO BHAVA” .
.
It was a truly an amazing experience till now as the wanderlust in me was stronger and m out of my comfort zone.

Moods of babies

Shweta Singhvi

Moods of babies;

Babies can change their mood within a fraction of second on one hand they are happy and busy playing while on the other they may cry loud instantly.
Today I would like to tell you some moods of babies (also called states). It is important to observe what sounds babies make and how they move and breathe.

*Irritating baby:

Such babies are irritated not playing with toys and may turn an arch away from anyone who’s trying to interact with them.Remember if your baby is hungry and tries to suck on anything they can find means they are hungry and getting irritated.Babies in such state are non attentive and frustrated.

How to overcome:

Please do check daipers within every 2hrs.Feed your baby completely.Try to put baby to sleep as excess playing may also cause irritation.

*Drowsiness:

Drowsy babies are not interested what’s going around. They breathe faster, then slowly, and they try to keep their head down and struggle to keep their head on parents shoulders.Unfortunately, some babies cry or get irritated whenever they are drowsy.

How to overcome:

Try to calm them and make them sleep by playing a soft music .Rest is really important to take a break from what they are doing.

*Crying baby:

I am sure all Mama’s out here would always be aware what does crying baby means and always wondering why is my kid crying.Whats wrong with my baby?Crying babies try to tell their parents that they are needed right now.Sometimes babies are so hungry they cry and try to tell you. They may make horrible noise for adults to pay attention to them.

How to overcome:
In such states babies feel warm and secure when you’re around them.Try to play ,sit and make some funny noises to distract your baby and lifts his mood.

Which states is your baby going through? And what you do in such situations I would like to hear from you.

Tofu Vegetable Pulao

Shweta Singhvi

No matter what part of India we belong to we all love our share of fried food and can’t do without it.

This is where choosing the right oil for frying and cooking becomes very important, olive oil is made from Spanish olives and contains highest percentage of good dietary fats. The benefits of using this oil is decreasing risks of heart disease and diabetes too.I use this oil for deep frying as it has a high smoking point,Grilling and specially in my north indian cuisine. It absorbs less in food and remove the bad cholesterol too.The flavour of indian food remains the same and tastes delicious.

Glimpse of Photoshoot Do’s and Dont’s

Shweta Singhvi

Baby Girl is the princess of Every Father. Babies are so adorable that we can spend all day playing with them. It doesnโ€™t matter how much tired we are but once we see a Baby all the tiredness will remove. .
.
Babies are born to be loved unconditionally.โ€ โ€œThank you my baby Girl for coming into my life and letting me know that I can be a great parent to you.โ€

Let’s share the list of things to keep in mind before, during and after the shoot –

DO’S OF PHOTOSHOOT-

1) With infants nothing goes as per plan so only dive in if u have the patience for it
2) Invest in some basic props like backdrops, fresh flowers some toys or a theme set up if u want to indulge
3) If u hire a professional it will cost you in the range of 10k onwards so there is no harm in spending a fraction of it on props
4) Pick a time when ur baby is most likely to sleep
5) make sure the room is well lit and the kid is not exposed to artificial lights
6) choose all wraps and bases of super soft material so that it doesn’t harm ur baby’s skin
7) Pick easy do-able poses keeping the safety as top most priority
8) use the services of a professional for edits if u can’t do it on ur own
9)keep feeding the baby on regular basis so that he/she doesn’t turn cranky
10) last but not the least make sure to make tons of memories to cherish for a lifetime

Dont’s of Photoshoot-

1) Don’t be too unrealistic and try something which ur unsure of
2) baby’s comfort is of utmost importance so keep poses which don’t hurt it
3) most of the poses we see online are done with support and then edited on Photoshop so don’t get disheartened if you can’t get that instaworthy shot
4) don’t pick a time when ur baby is active
5) Avoid direct exposure to sunlight for a long time

Hope you guys have a good time trying this at home with ur kiddos and if u have any questions please feel to ask me .. I’ll be more than happy to help if I know๐Ÿ˜Š

Travelling tips for Mom traveler

Shweta Singhvi

People who love mountains definitely belong to a different group.Their vision to look things are different and inspiring..They develop confidence and attitude among themselves and donโ€™t fear outdoors but instead feel a part of it..They feel themselves lucky to discover new places, meet new people and explore different places.

The weather and the view in the mountains is so mesmerising that itโ€™s unbelievable. We can spend hours and hours sitting alone and staring beautiful mountains and try to figure out โ€œwhy do we existโ€..

My trips are mostly challenging it made me realise that mountains are my โ€œsecond homeโ€ no network, nobody to answer,no responsibilities.

For others it may be a business venture or a lifestyle change but for me itโ€™s my passion to travel.. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

EASE YOUR TRAVEL WITH KIDS-

My 7th trip with my girl though she’s very small but she started enjoying it.Being a travelling Mommy is not easy I had tough times with her when she’s cranky, irritated I always make sure that whenever I travel i avoid long distance travelling and keepf ew things In mind-

*Take all food belongings (fruits, dryfruits, oats powder, biscuits for various options)

*Travelling with kids cut the hours In a day and increase the days (if travelling for 4days make it 6days to avoid discomfort)

*Carry coconut oil used for multipurpose-cures insect bite, daiper rash, apply as a moisturizer on skin

*Download nursery rhymes and carry Aux cable and play your kids favorite music to divert her mind

*Don’t force feed your kiddo while traveling because with location even the taste of the  water, food changes so they may not like it ..keep more options for food and let them eat as per their taste

Important is they shouldn’t be hungry

*Try not giving very heavy meals or milk while traveling in ghat section otherwise they may puke.

(I personally experienced๐Ÿ™ˆ)

Sunscreen essential for Babies too Sebamed

Shweta Singhvi

The sweet smells of summer, sunscreen and beach and some free time is a lot for a new parent.Since the weather of Mumbai is quite warmed up to withstand the heat and add a bit of a sun kissed glow, being a traveller sunscreen plays a very important part of my life and I make sure that my body is protected from the sun’s damaging UV Ray’s by keeping a bottle of  sunscreen spray on hand at all times.

The sunscreen spray not only prevents from sunlight and damage and irritation to the skin.. it also makes my skin soft and supple with water resistant upto 6hrs.Perfect for sunny beach days.

Babies skin is extremely sensitive when exposed to sun they need their own special kind of sun protection when they play outside.Thats where baby sunscreen comes in.Extra care is very important for babies skin too.Pollution, dust and harmful chemicals results in damage of skin not only among adults but they have a huge impact on babies skin too.

Since I travel oftently I make sure that I protect my babies skin from getting dry and irritation. She loves swimming pool area and we all are aware about the chemicals used (Chlorine) is too high.So I suggest to apply sunscreen prior 15minutes prior getting in the pool area.

Market is flooded with many sunscreen from Spf 15 to 50

Spf 30 is the best sunscreen to be used for Indians be it adults or babies.

Sebamed sunscreen need no introduction as they are safe for kids. The best thing is the ingredients list .It makes me feel secure that it will protect my babys skin from the sun without harming her in any way.
Do apply sunscreen with SPF 15-50 to unprotected skin prior 30minutes to sun exposure.
P.S: Always do a patch test since every body has different skin.

Please do not apply sunscreen to new borns till 6 months.

Bpa bottles benefits for kids

Shweta Singhvi

Being a mother we always consider our babys health as our top most priority.Putting my fears aside and using right products for my baby I.e BPA free bottle and organics towel from @niniobabyindia made my parenting more easy. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

BPA is a chemical that has been used to harden plastics for more than 40 years. It’s everywhere. It’s in medical devices, canned foods and drinks, and many other products.

More than 90% of us have BPA in our bodies right now. We get most of it by eating foods that have been in containers made with BPA. It’s also possible to pick up BPA through air, dust, and water.

BPA was common in baby bottles, sippy cups, baby formula cans, and other products for babies and young children.Since we can’t risk with our baby’s health looking for right products becomes very important to us.

Few reasons why we should opt for BPA free Bottles for our babies.

So let’s take a quick review:-

*BPA FREE BOTTLES BENEFITS-

Ninio is the first among 10companies who make BPA free bottles which are made from no harmful chemicals and is 100% safe for baby.

Things to keep in mind while buying BPA bottles: *Look for infant formula that is BPA Free *Choose non plastic containers for food

*Do not heat plastic that could contain BPA+Never use plastic in microwave, since heat can cause BPA to Leach out

*Avoid plastic with a 3 or a 7 recycle code at the bottom-It may contain BPA

*Use fewer canned foods opt for more fresh foods

*Plastic bottles that are chipped or cracked please so not reuse them-If they have BPA they are more likely to Leach into food.

I hope my feedback was useful and informative.

*Baby towel:  My kiddo is extremely in love with the fabric of the towel it’s super soft, made of premium quality, towel is absorbent and light,so you can easily dry and carry when your travelling.

It wraps your precious one in unmatched softness and gets them dry quickly.

*Hand brush for baby:

Eye catching coral colour of hand brush makes it look more vibrant and catches whole attention by my kiddo and she’s was super excited to use the brush.

Its a cute little brush designed to fit your index finger smoothly where a mother’s hand can reach every corner of the baby’s mouth. This will help in achieving oral hygiene In a Safe and comfortable way.
